The best sports resort in the world awaits the racketlon world

There is now only one week left until the FIR World Tour for the first time ever goes to Spain and the Canary Islands. The Danish owned Club La Santa in Lanzarote and Racketlon Denmark will host Racketlon players from 10 different countries. The tournament will take place from Saturday to Monday and in the days leading up to the IWT, there will be competitions in some of the other sports that Club La Santa has to offer. The racket players will enjoy the padel courts for sure, but the biggest battle of them all, will take place on the minigolf course with big prizes at stake. When the tournament finishes Monday, the players will get ready for a nice dinner at one of the resorts best restaurants followed by drinks and dancing at the disco.

Jaksland for his first World Tour win?

In the 12-men big elite draw, there is no Jønsson, Windischberger and Dickert, making world number 5 Morten Jaksland the 1st seed and tournament favorite. Second seed is also from Denmark and Kresten Hougaard will be looking for his second World Tour win. Third and fourth seed the Swiss Benjamin Hampl and British Luke Barnes, who reportedly both are in terrific form. Watch out for the wild cards players as an upcoming Joshua Zeoli is looking to make his potential known for the top players. His brother, Markus, got the other wild card. The former world top 5 will be making his comeback to the FIR World Tour after almost 3 years out. Another player to watch out for is Sebastian Hedlund, who had a terrific Swedish Open, though losing very close to the winner, Lukas Windischberger.
In the womens elite draw, the former World Champion Nathalie Vogel got the only wild card and will be very tough to beat for the rest of the field. First seed is World Tour Officer and world number 11, Kirsten Kaptein, who showed impressive form to beat Natalie Paul at the Swedish Open a month ago.
