Sometimes we don't think about things until it is too late.

What is standard in most individual sports and countries is that the players are responsible for their own insurances, not the tournament organisers, barring acts of gross negligence (such as bare electrical cables lying around, or unsafely constructed spectator tribunes). Are you covered in case of injury, illness, missed flights, excessive celebrations at the players' party etc?

For the sake of clarity, the FIR Tournament Regulations and Players & Draws Regulations have been modified to make it clearer, that players are advised to take care of this responsibility themselves. We hope it is money which is totally wasted, when nothing bad happens!
