World Champs teams and doubles - a short overview

Four exciting days of Racketlon came to an end: the World Championships of the national teams, double and mixed took place in Copenhagen from 27th to 30th of July with Denmark, Great Britain, Austria and Germany taking nearly all of the titles in the various categories. All results are now online on!

Denmark new World Champion


After taking the European title in November 2015 in Prague the Danish Elite team won the World Champs by beating Canada in the semifinal and Austria in the final (credit: Inge Omey).

Great Britain stood on top of the podium with their Amateur team and their Juniors U16 team. The winners of the Junior U21 team event come from Austria. The Senior categories were dominated by the German teams winning the +45 and +55 categories.


Ratzer defends two titles


After all team matches were played and the prizes given to the winners the double and mixed categories started. World no. 1 Jesper Ratzer defended the titles in the Elite events by winning the men´s double with his fellow countryman and world no. 2 Kasper Jonsson and the mixed double with Natalie Paul from Germany who also won the women´s double with her Austrian partner Christine Seehofer.
